Training Course - HR & Employment Law - The Basics

We offer  a half-day course on Employment Law/ HR Management for beginners.

This course is intended to provide an introduction to the basics you need to know when employing people.

We take you through the employment relationship from start to finish covering the topics as follows;

  • recruitment and selection
  • the employment contract
  • avoiding discrimination
  • absence management
  • performance management
  • managing discipline and grievance
  • terminating the employment relationship

It is aimed at new newly promoted managers, those starting up a business, those new to HR and those taking on employees for the first time. It may also be of use as a recap to experienced managers who have never received formal training .

We don't use legal jargon  - it is designed to be a straightforward introduction to the basics of employment law.

Our aim is to help you to recognise and deal with issues as they arise, hopefully avoiding costly Employment Tribunal claims.

Delegates are supplied with useful course notes to take back to the workplace.

Course dates: Wednesday 22nd November 2017 at our offices in Tamworth.

Timing: 9 AM until 1 PM with lunch provided.

Cost £150+VAT per delegate. (We usually have a maximum of eight delegates per course)
