Planning for care & securing your future

At some point in our lives, many of us will be faced with difficult decisions regarding long-term care.

We worry for ourselves - about how we will manage in our old age, or for our parents and elderly relatives, and for our children who may not be able to live independently in the future.

For those who have assets, there is also the worry that the family wealth may be eroded by care home fees or demands for tax.

Many people are unaware of the practical steps that can be taken to address some of these issues.

To help you to plan for a more secure future,to answer some of those niggling questions, we will be holding a series of free information meetings at our offices on Thursday March 8th 2012.

Come along and hear our specialist solicitors Desmond Saunders and Rebecca Head as they talk through some of the key issues. Both have expert knowledge of care home issues, from the assessment process through to funding. Also they can provide helpful advice on how to retain your hard-earned wealth within the family. They will also answer some of the most commonly raised questions about the legal issues surrounding care planning.

The meetings are free and open to the public. You do not have to be a client of Pickerings Solicitors to attend, and there is no obligation to take any action following the meetings.

The talks will take place at 11.00am, 3.00pm and 6.00pm.

Places will be limited, so to reserve your place contact Sue Hatton on 01827 317073 or shatton@pickerings-solicitors.com .

Free parking space is available and our meeting facilities are easily accessible. Refreshments provided.
