As part of a planned succession, Sue Hatton will be retiring from her roles as MD and Director at the end of May 2026. After more than 23 years at Pickerings, Sue has decided the time is right to move on to new challenges and to enjoy some well‑earned travel plans.
Sue’s contribution to the firm has been exceptional, shaping our culture, supporting our people, and helping to build the strong and trusted practice we are today. We sincerely thank Sue for her dedication and leadership, and we wish her every success in the years ahead.
We are delighted to confirm that Kate Pearce will be appointed as Managing Director from 1 June 2026. Kate is an experienced and highly respected member of the team whose commitment to our clients, our colleagues, and our values will ensure continuity and stability during this transition. Kate is very much looking forward to leading the firm in this new chapter.
Clients can also be assured that Katie Baker‑Clifton and the Employment Law team will continue to provide advice and support with all employment law matters and will know where to find Sue if any HR Consultancy is needed.
