Pickerings’ ladies take on Pretty Muddy
12 of our Pickerings’ ladies joined hundreds of men, women, girls, and families as they gathered at Weston Park on Saturday for the annual Pretty Muddy Race for Life, turning the park into a sea of pink, laughter, and muddy determination—all in the name of beating cancer.
The 5K obstacle course was packed with energy as participants tackled inflatable hurdles, crawled through mud pits, and slid down giant muddy slides. Despite the disappointing weather, spirits were high and the mud only added to the fun.
Volunteers and spectators lined the route, and the finish line was a celebration of resilience, with medals, hugs, and plenty of muddy selfies.
All proceeds from the event go to Cancer Research UK, funding vital research into cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Our Pickerings’ Team raised over £1300 for the cause!
As the mud washed off and the sun finally peeked through the clouds, one thing was clear: this wasn’t just a race—it was a powerful show of community, courage, and hope.
