Exciting times! From 14th September 2022 for the first time, we will have our very own Solicitor Apprentice, Sophia Farmer.
The Solicitor Apprenticeship is a six-year, Level 7 programme aimed at post A-level students, paralegals and chartered legal executives.Aspiring solicitors can qualify through the solicitor apprenticeship, which provides an alternative to the traditional qualification route through university and suits candidates who want to 'earn as they learn'.
Sue Hatton, MD of Pickerings said: ' It's great to be able to offer an alternate route to qualification as a solicitor. This gives Sophia the opportunity to gain practical skills, such as drafting and client care whilst expanding her legal knowledge and gaining professional qualifications. For those who know which area of law they would like to go into, it also allows specialisation at an earlier stage in their career.'
Sophia joined the firm upon completion of A levels in June 2021 initially working in administrative roles in residential property and private client prior to talking up her current apprentice role within the Private Client Team.
